Process : Staring at the blank page

Process : Staring at the blank page

Sometimes staring at a blank page can feel overwhelming.

I overthink, and my mind starts choosing colours and textures, and is already finishing the painting before I've had time to catch up.

One way I get past this is to just scribble on the blank page - it could be actual words or just loops and circles and shapes. Doing this brings my mind back to the present moment and then I can move forward.

Sometimes it feels little clunky at first, but it eventually starts moving.

In this video, I am playing around in an art journal. I am using acrylics, pastels, and a china marker by using my fingers, sandpaper, and a roller to get some great effects.
