Process : Teenage phase : Part I

Process : Teenage phase : Part I

As I’ve been slowly getting back into painting, I’ve been trying to take time-lapse videos of the process, as well as take my usual macro-photos. I am fascinated with the way my hands move. I suppose it is because I don’t think about my hands when I am painting, they just do what they do. So, when I play back the video, I am drawn in, mesmerized by the movements and the way I hold my hands as they wait for instruction from my brain.

For this painting, I am still in the process of layering it up. This is the “teenage phase” of my painting ~ a bit angry, awkward, bold, dissonant, multi-faceted, feeling unattractive, and caring too much about what others think.
