Following on from my earlier post about the “teenage” phase of my paintings. Every painting I create goes through this phase, when colours mix and the piece gets very loud and I am not sure where it is going to go.
In this process video, it starts similarly, with a lot more colour being added, and lots and lots of scratching into the surface with various tools. This adds so much texture to the piece. By the end, I am beginning to soften the edges, and it is slowly starting to come together.
